Springtime Cranberry Cocktails

As soon as the spring weather hits I start to crave those delicious patio cocktails. You know, the ones you spend the afternoon sipping while relaxing in the hammock… while your husband BBQ’s dinner… and does the laundry… and vacuums the house. Did I lose you at “relaxing?” A girl can dream, right?

Speaking of relaxing… It’s not even mid-April and I am already looking at a packed summer schedule. Between bridal showers, bachelorettes, and back-to-back weddings in June, “J” and I are starting a pretty exciting backyard project which will hopefully have us relaxing and sipping sangrias, madras, mojitos and margaritas all the way to summer’s end!

These Cranberry Raspberry Mojitos and Madras are just the cocktails you need to get ready for skirt + flip-flop weather. Trust me. I’ve already had three this week, while watching the temperature rise (it’s working!). So grab one of these drinks and celebrate Spring’s long awaited arrival with me!

Cranberry Raspberry Mojito
This cranberry raspberry mojito is a delicious & refreshing treat! Oasis Nutrisource’s cranberry juice keeps the calories in this drink low (it only has 40 calories per 250mL serving) as it’s sweetened with stevia, so you don’t compromise on the fruit taste. A squeeze of fresh lime and a few mint leaves add another layer of flavour!

Ingredients
1 oz rum
Mint leaves
2-3 fresh raspberries
A squeeze of fresh lime
1 tbsp sugar
4 oz Oasis Nutrisource 40 cal. Cranberry Juice
Club soda

Directions
Mix & mash rum, mint, raspberries, lime and sugar in a glass at levels that suit your taste. If you have a muddler, muddle until everything is incorporated. Add ice. Add cranberry juice and top with club soda. Give a quick stir and enjoy!

Madras
Don’t let the name fool you, this cocktail is incredibly easy to make! Tangy Oasis Cranberry Juice is mixed with Oasis Orange Juice, and taken up a notch with the addition of smooth vodka. A tasty evening cocktail perfect for the spring time!

Ingredients
1.5 oz vodka
4 oz Oasis Nutrisource 40 cal. Cranberry Juice
1 oz Oasis Pure Orange Juice
Garnish with orange or lime slice

Directions
Fill glass with ice. Pour in vodka, followed by cranberry juice and orange juice. Garnish with a slice of orange or lime. Enjoy!
